Knitted Eggplant

Free Knit Pattern - Eggplant


So, my days are filled with vegetables and I adore these cute little veggies. They are so easy and fun to make :)


I use Judy's cast on for this project as this eggplant is knitted from bottom to top

With Purple Yarn
1. - Cast on 10 stitches
2. - (K1, M1) x 10 times --------------------------------------------------(20)
3. - (K2, M1) x 10 times --------------------------------------------------(30)
4. - (K3, M1) x 10 times --------------------------------------------------(40)
5. - (K4, M1) x 10 times --------------------------------------------------(50)
6. - to 19. - Knit all  --------------------------------------------------------(50)
20. - K1, (K6, K2tog) 6 times, K1 ---------------------------------------(44)
21. - Knit all
22. - K1, (K5, K2tog) 6 times, K1 ---------------------------------------(38)
23. - Knit all
24. - K1, (K4, K2tog) 6 times, K1 ---------------------------------------(32)
25. - to 30. - Knit all
31. - K1, (K3, K2tog) 6 times, K1 ---------------------------------------(26)
32. - to 34. - Knit all
35. - K1, (K2, K2tog) 6 times, K1 ---------------------------------------(20)
36. - to 38. - Knit all
39. - K2tog x 10 times -----------------------------------------------------(10)
Sew the end

For the head - we will make 3 leaves, 1 leaf with a stalk and 2 without the stalk

Leaf with stalk:
1. - Cast on 3 stitches. We will work like I - cord knitting for the next 4 rows
2. - Knit all ---------------------(3)
3. - Knit all ---------------------(3)
4. - Knit all ---------------------(3)
5. - Knit all ---------------------(3)
6. - Purl all ---------------------(3)
7. - K1, YO, K1, YO, K1  ---------------------(5)
8. - Purl all
9. -  K2, YO, K1, YO, K2  ---------------------(7)
10. Purl all
11. - SSK, K3, K2tog  ---------------------(5)
12. - Purl all
13. - SSK, K1, K2tog  ---------------------(3)
14. - Slip 1, K2tog, PSSO--------------------(1)
Sew end

Leaf without stalk:
1. - Cast on 3 stitches--------------------(3)
2. - Purl all ---------------------(3)
3. - K1, YO, K1, YO, K1  ---------------------(5)
4. - Purl all
5. -  K2, YO, K1, YO, K2  ---------------------(7)
6. Purl all
7. - SSK, K3, K2tog  ---------------------(5)
8. - Purl all
