If I have a size 7 foot, should I cast on 41 stitches? Do you decrease by 6 stitches for every size you go down - or conversely, increase by 6 stitches for each size you go up? These are beautiful!
CindyK, to decrease by 6 stitches for each size whould be too much I feel, If you have size 7, try cast on with 45 stitches. Just remember that u need to have the (YO, K)x6 should be in the middle of the stitch to get the right pattern
Hi, I've started these slippers and I am wondering about row 5 of the pattern. Shouldn't that be K24 at the end? That's what I had left on my needle when I finished the increases! Thank you
BobbiK, I also ended with K24 at the end of row 5. I proceeded, adjusting by one stitch from there on. I hope they turn out okay. It is such a cute pattern!
I printed this up gonna attempt it will get back to you :) btw thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing! These are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThanks Marion and Claire for dropping by :)
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of needles? I'm assuming dpn's but it isn't clear to me.
ReplyDeleteI actually knitted these on circular needle and both simultaneously
ReplyDeleteHow do you knit two slippers at the same time on a circular needle?
ReplyDeleteI was wondering the same thing. :)
DeleteI was wondering the same thing. :)
DeleteIs there a multiple to decrease the cast on?
ReplyDeleteMaria Becker, whatever you are casting on you need 6 stitches in the centre for the first (Yo,K)x6 to start the pattern. So divide accordingly
ReplyDeletefor example, if I cast on 47 stitches
the pattern will start like
K21, (YO, K)x6, K20
I have a size US 8 foot, how many cast ons do you suggest?
ReplyDeleteCast on 47, that should be sufficient
